The project comprised the construction of a two-storey classroom block, with feature external envelope constructed of a combination of brickwork, Sto render, timber weather boarding and composite windows, with sarna and falzinc roofing.
The project was complicated by the works being carried out in a live school environment, within a conservation area and with restricted access. During
the school holidays, we constructed an infill extension to the existing dining hall to provide increased capacity and an internal link to the kitchens.
We also refurbished two semi-detached houses adjacent to the main school to provide improved residential facilities for teaching staff, as part of the
section 106 agreement.
