We secured this interesting new activity centre project for St Georges College, Weybridge by single stage design and build tender. This bespoke facility
incorporates a flowing curved roof, formed from exposed Glulam Beams and CLT panels, giving the building a distinctive appearance. The contours
of the ground required the building to be sunk into the landscape giving level approaches at both ground and second floor levels. Architecturally
the building is distinctive not only in shape, but also in the materials used including bespoke rainscreen cladding, curtain walling and obscure
cladding to the main hall, all set in new landscaped grounds.

Internally, the building possesses a number of striking design elements including a feature stair rising through the building, exposed concrete and
blockwork finishes, and extensive internal glazing to provide a light and modern feel to the reception and circulation space. The main hall has
a glass sports floor, and can be used for many activities, as well as spectator seating and climbing wall. Other spaces include gymnasium, dance
studio and café, along with changing and administration facilities.
