Our beginnings

Our Chairman, David Pearce, formed Blenheim House Construction in 1996 with 25 years’ construction experience behind him and a desire to do things a bit differently.

David’s aim was to adopt a more collaborative approach with clients and their professional teams with the common goal of producing a quality product, for the best price, in the shortest possible time with the minimum of hassle!

With a hand-picked team of like-minded individuals, David put his plan into action with great success and twenty-five years on with more than 200 completed projects in our varied portfolio, the Company goes from strength to strength.

Our People

Led by our Managing Director, Richard Taylor, and his fellow directors, our staff are the core of our business.  We believe in building lasting relationships within our business as well as externally and a third of our staff have been with us more than ten years, with several having celebrated their twenty-fifth anniversary.  We are very proud of this achievement and believe it reflects our healthy respect for family life and flexibility, and the reward and recognition we offer for hard work and loyalty.

What we do

We consider ourselves among the best in our field for commercial and mixed-use new build and refurbishment projects, but we really stand apart when it comes to projects with added complexities.  We have extensive experience with listed building works, complex ground conditions, retained façades, restricted city centre locations, deep excavations and many other challenges that make a project less ordinary, more extraordinary.  We bring to the project our wealth of experience and skilled personnel that the client can rely on to bring their project to a successful conclusion.

With our experience we are able to develop effective, efficient and economical solutions to complex problems.

How we work

Our site management teams take a very hands-on approach.  Technological advances and digital collaboration tools certainly aid the management of information on a project, but crucially our project managers are active on site, overseeing the day to day activities and therefore personally ensuring the client’s aspirations and quality requirements are met.  Our project managers are subsequently able to accurately inform the client’s team at all times regarding progress and ensure that any issues that could potentially lead to cost and delay are headed off at the earliest opportunity.

Although maintaining safe sites is high on the agenda throughout the industry, we believe we outperform many of our competitors in this regard.  Environmental issues are also a priority for us and we continue to work with our suppliers to ensure we are taking all reasonable practical steps to safeguard our environment and make best use of environmentally sound materials and products.
