We undertook a first stage tender process and were subsequently selected as preferred contractor for this interesting project for Joint London Holdings,
who we previously worked with on their redevelopment of Maddox Street.

This complex project was the extension of the existing office building on the upper levels, with new rear façade and upgraded front, refurbishing the
existing stonework and incorporating new fenestration. The existing basement car park was lowered to allow the space to be used for either office
or retail use. Due to the height of the existing foundations it was necessary to remove these foundations and extend the columns onto new piles
and pile caps. We appointed Michael Barclay Partnership as our temporary works designers, and after reviewing the options, we elected to use the
new permanent piles in the temporary situation by installing plunge steels into these piles. A temporary frame was then installed to carry the
load of the building, allowing the existing foundations to be removed, and new pile caps to be formed. Works were also undertaken to the existing
walls to remove and reline with in-situ concrete walls so as to provide a watertight basement environment.

Internally the building was finished to a shell and core specification, including all main plant and lifts, to meet the requirements of an incoming tenant.
